Ian Grundy - Managing Director

Ian has worked within the licensing trade for the past 20 years, including operations director positions for Allied Domecq plc, Whitbread plc, Laurel Pub Holdings Ltd and Sodexho plc. He was headhunted into Whitbread plc, with a brief to develop the Shots brand and developed 18 sites in two years, doubled site profits and generated above 60% return on incremental capital employed. Ian has previously started up and run his own tied lease company, specialising in identifying purchasing and turning round failing pubs in suburban areas. Ian will be responsible for the selection and acquisition of the sites, and will oversee the repositioningand refurbishment, and subsequent management of the estate

Gavin Drew ACMA - Commercial & Finance Director                        

Gavin is qualified accountant and has held numerous finance and strategy positions during his 20 year career in the pub and brewing industry. He has held key financial roles with Scottish Courage Free Trade, Scottish and Newcastle Retail, Allied Domecq Retail, Carlsberg-Tetley Free Trade, The Spirit Group and Punch Taverns plc. In 2004, Gavin successfully disposed of a 50% shareholding in a company which he set up in 2001 to operate an estate of 7 pubs which were leased from Enterprise Inns, Unique Pub Company and Avebury Taverns. Whilst with Spirit Group / Punch he lead the vendor due diligence on the disposal of a package of 178 pubs to private equity (Alchemy Partners) in September 2005 and in April 2007 lead the due diligience in the acquisition of 50% shareholding in Matthew Clark by Punch Taverns plc. Gavin will be responsible for financial oversight of site acquisitions. He will also deal with the negotiation of commercial supply deals to ensure best prices are obtained and will set up and oversee the day to day financial management of the company.

  Mike Foster - Non Executive Director

Mike has spent 30 years in the pub retail and brewing industry. Mike currently has 4 non-executive Directorships in the pub retailing and leisure trade: Punch Taverns plc, W H Brakspear & Sons plc, Roxton Bailey Robinson Ltd ad Innserve Ltd. He was CEO of Courage Limited and Inntrepreneur Estates Limited, and chairman of Leisurelik Ltd, British Pub & Beer Association. He was also Non Executive Director of Geest plc from 1993 until 1999

Rupert Barclay - Chairman                                                           

Rupert is a senior partner of Cairneagle Associates. Cairneagle is a boutique strategic management and equity investment consultancy, and was promoter of Foundation Inns. A former Director of Strategy and M&A at Allied Domecq, he has been advising the pub and brewing industries since 1989 and has worked with a wide range of brewers and pub companies. He serves as non-executive director and audit committee member of two listed companies, Dimension Data (market cap: £750m) and Lowland Investment Company (market cap: £250m) as well as a number of private companies. Neil Preston - Non Executive Director

 

Neil is currently Company Secretary of Punch Taverns PLC and hghly influential in all strategic and transactional decisions during recent years where Punch have been very acquisitive. He is responsible for corporate governance, excutive compensation and debt financing at Punch and is a former Finance Director of the Punch Taverns Group. Previous experience includes spells at Ansells, Carlsberg-Tetley Free Trade and Allied Domecq

Hugo Pring - Non-Executive Director 

Hugo is a former Director and major shareholer of Brakspear, the regional brewer and is currently an idependant fianncial adviser for Border Asset Management which also represents the interests of some very large shareholders in Foundation Inns PLC
